Pinecrest Mountain Properties was founded in 2014 to do one thing well: long-term residential management on the Front Range. We're 14 people, headquartered on Pearl Street, with a vendor bench that knows every canyon road by name.

The story

Founded by an owner who couldn't find a manager he trusted.

In 2013, our founder Wes Kovacs owned three rental homes in Sunshine Canyon — a 1972 A-frame, a duplex on Pine Street, and a small cabin off Magnolia Road. He went through four property managers in 18 months. Statements were late. Maintenance got marked up. One tenant moved out without anyone noticing for six weeks.

So he started Pinecrest. The pitch was simple: post the criteria, charge a flat fee, never mark up maintenance, and answer the phone. Twelve years and 312 doors later, that's still the whole pitch.

We've stayed deliberately small. We turn down out-of-market listings. We don't manage short-term rentals. We don't run a brokerage. The point of the company is to do residential property management — for the Front Range, with a real human attached to every door — and to do it for the long haul.
